Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, then stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Let simmer until thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the creamy sauce over each piece, and cook for another 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes to control heat level.
- For dairy-free options, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or dairy-free cream.
- Reheat leftovers gently in a skillet or microwave to preserve the creamy texture.
