- 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 3 large apples, sliced
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Layer bread cubes and sliced apples in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Pour mixture evenly over bread and apples, pressing gently to soak.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use stale bread for best soaking. Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra texture.
