- 1.5 lbs (680g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Start by trimming any excess fat from the chicken and cutting it into bite-sized pieces. Season the chicken pieces generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Add Parmesan cheese, dried thyme (or Italian seasoning), salt, and pepper. Let simmer until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce. Let simmer for an additional 5 minutes to develop flavor. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

- Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for extra tenderness and flavor.
- Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently on the stove over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- For dairy-free alternatives, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk and butter with dairy-free margarine.
