Ingredients
- 8 oz (225 g) of your favorite pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add your preferred pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and season with black pepper and a pinch of salt. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the honey and soy sauce, stirring well to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the honey pepper sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. Incorporate sliced red bell peppers and cherry tomatoes, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until vegetables soften slightly.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic and herbs to enhance flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the honey amount according to taste.
- Mix in vegetables like spinach, zucchini, or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- Ensure the chicken is cooked thoroughly for safety and better taste.
