Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas until smooth and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture gradually, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly into the batter.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- Avoid overmixing to keep the bread tender and moist.
- Add chocolate chips at the end to prevent melting during mixing.
- Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
