Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: mince garlic, grate ginger if using, and set aside broccoli florets.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Remove cooked beef and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Stir-fry broccoli until tender and crisp about 4-5 minutes. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet. Add honey and soy sauce, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld flavors. Drizzle with sesame oil if desired. Adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if preferred. Pair with rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice for a complete meal.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for a healthier dish. Feel free to use higher fat ground beef for richer flavor.
- Adjust sweetness: add more honey if desired, balancing with soy sauce.
- Cut broccoli into uniform pieces for even cooking.
- Prepping ingredients beforehand makes the cooking process smoother and faster.
