- 1 head of green cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef or chicken
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the cabbage and carefully peel off large leaves. Blanch leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until soft.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Place a scoop of filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
- Arrange rolls in a baking dish and pour tomato sauce over them. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce on top.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, then top with shredded cheese if desired and bake for another 10 minutes.

- You can substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based proteins.
- For extra flavor, add chopped herbs like parsley or dill to the filling.
- Serve with a side of crusty bread or a fresh salad.
