- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1/2 pound ground chicken or pork
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the wonton filling by combining ground meat, chopped green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet the edges with water and fold into a sealed pouch.
- Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot. Carefully add the wontons to the broth.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for about 8-10 minutes until wontons are cooked through.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the broth during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
Notes
- Ensure the wonton edges are sealed properly to prevent filling from spilling out.
- Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor and presentation.
