Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until dough forms.
- Divide dough and tint each part with food coloring to desired shades.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out witch hats, cauldrons, and other Halloween shapes.
- Arrange on prepared baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Let cookies cool completely, then decorate with icing, sprinkles, and glitter.

- Bake cookies in batches to prevent overbaking.
