- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced smoked sausage until browned and slightly crispy. Set aside.
- Slice potatoes thinly and toss with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Spread half of the cooked sausage over potatoes. Repeat layers, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and ranch seasoning mix.
- Dollop sour cream over the top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For added flavor, garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
- Can be assembled the night before and stored in the refrigerator.
- Best served with a fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
