- 1 pound ground beef or sausage
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef or sausage in a skillet, then transfer to the crockpot.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the crockpot.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and broth, then stir in Italian seasoning.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Add broken lasagna noodles during the last 30 minutes and cook until tender.
- Stir in shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Use spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor. Adjust cheese intensity to taste. Suitable for gluten-free with gluten-free noodles.
