Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Mix Italian breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese in a shallow bowl. Beat eggs in a separate bowl. Dip chicken in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.

- Remove from oven. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Return to oven and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley. Pair with pasta, garlic bread, or a side salad for a complete meal.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Variate with different cheeses like provolone or gouda.
- Replace breadcrumbs with almond flour for gluten-free option.
