Fluffy, cheesy garlic rolls baked to perfection, topped with melted cheese and fragrant garlic, ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a tasty snack

  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 rolls

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with a tablespoon of melted butter. Brush this mixture over the dough balls.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over each roll. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Ensure yeast is fresh for best rising results.
  • Can add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Great with marinara or as is for snacks.
