Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 400g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
  7. Return shrimp to skillet, toss with sauce and cooked pasta.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level with more or less red pepper flakes.
  • For added richness, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
