Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar; let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and half of the flour; mix well.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Gently punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Shape each into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Mix minced garlic and chopped parsley with melted butter, then brush over each roll.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Brush with additional melted butter and sprinkle with herbs if desired.
