Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds of beef chuck or sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (preferably real butter)
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce or tamari (for a gluten-free option)
- 2 tablespoons of honey or brown sugar (optional for slight sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme or rosemary
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces, trimming excess fat for even cooking.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, herbs, and soy sauce. Stir until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Place the beef pieces into the slow cooker. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the beef, ensuring each piece is coated evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the beef is tender and flavorful.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, or with sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
- Use tender cuts like sirloin or chuck for best results.
- For added flavor, sprinkle red pepper flakes or smoked paprika.
- Storing: Cool completely before transferring to airtight containers. Refrigerate up to 3 days or freeze up to 2 months.
- Reheat gently in microwave or skillet for best texture.
