- For Streusel:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Stir in pumpkin, orange juice, and zest.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Prepare streusel topping by mixing flour and brown sugar, cut in butter until crumbly.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, sprinkle streusel on top.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely.
- Mix orange glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bread before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the batter.
- Ensure the streusel is crumbly but not greasy for best texture.
