Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, molasses, and vanilla; beat until combined.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.
- Cut into desired holiday shapes and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cookies cool on wire racks, then decorate with icing, sprinkles, and glitter.
