Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, salt, and vanilla, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let sit for a few minutes to melt, then spread with a spatula.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts and festive sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
- Allow toffee to cool completely at room temperature until hardened.
- Break into pieces and serve or package for gifting.
