Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of baked chicken tenders or chicken breast strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs (panko preferred for extra crispiness)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but adds flavor)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooked cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dredge each chicken strip in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Arrange the breaded chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet. Spray lightly with cooking spray or olive oil spray to enhance crispiness.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway if desired.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunchiness.
- Lightly spray chicken with oil before baking to improve crispiness.
- Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for even baking.
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for added tenderness and flavor for best results.
