- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 slices of ham
- 1 cup grated Gruyere or Swiss cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into two rectangles.
- Place puff pastry sheets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Layer ham slices on baked puff pastry, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese melts.
- Meanwhile, heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry eggs sunny-side-up, season with salt and pepper.
- Remove pastry from oven, top each with a fried egg, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dash of Dijon mustard or a sprinkle of fresh herbs before serving.
