- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape mixture into 12-15 meatballs.
- Place meatballs in the slow cooker in a single layer.
- In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Pour over meatballs.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Optional: remove meatballs and pour gravy into a saucepan. Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken. Return meatballs to sauce before serving.

- You can add chopped mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- This recipe pairs well with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
