Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped apples.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing. Serve with caramel sauce or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor balance.
