- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups cheese tortellini
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Add chicken broth and cook on low for 6 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken and shred it using two forks; return to crockpot.
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and tortellini to the crockpot. Stir well.
- Cook on high for 30 minutes or until tortellini is tender.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with milk for a lighter version.
- Ensure tortellini is added towards the end to prevent overcooking.
