Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 round brie cheese (8 oz)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4-5 fresh figs, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry slightly to smooth edges. Place the brie in the center of the pastry.
- Drizzle honey over the brie, then fold the pastry edges over to enclose the cheese completely, pinching seams to seal.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place the wrapped brie on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then top with sliced figs and additional honey if desired.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm with bread or crackers.
Notes
- Ensure the puff pastry is properly sealed to prevent cheese leakage during baking.
- Serve warm for the best melting and flavor.
- You can add a sprinkle of crushed nuts or a balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
