Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, beating well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chunks and walnuts.
- Portion dough into 12 equal balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden and centers look soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra gooeyness, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- You can substitute walnuts with pecans or add dried fruit for variation.
