- 1.5 pounds of beef stew meat
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Place beef stew meat, sliced potatoes, diced onion, and minced garlic into the slow cooker.
- Season with salt and pepper, then add butter and milk evenly over the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until beef is tender and potatoes are cooked through.
- Once done, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, then cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

- For added flavor, stir in cooked bacon bits or sautéed mushrooms before serving.
- Use sharp cheddar for a more pronounced cheese flavor.
