- 20 large pasta shells
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup crab meat
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta shells according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add chopped shrimp and cook until pink. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, cooked shrimp, crab meat, half of mozzarella, Parmesan, lemon zest, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff each shell with the seafood mixture and arrange in a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until simmering. Pour over stuffed shells, then top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with extra parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute crab meat with lobster or scallops for different seafood flavors.
- Ensure not to overcook the shells to keep them firm.
- This dish pairs well with crispy garlic bread.
