Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Arrange a layer of potato slices in the dish, overlapping slightly.
- Sprinkle with roasted garlic, cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with cheese on top.
- Warm heavy cream with butter and pour over the layered potatoes.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
