- 12 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the pasta and enough water to just cover the noodles. Cook until pasta is al dente, about 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
- Add cooked chicken or vegetables for extra protein and nutrients.
