- 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes to combine flavors.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese. Toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

- Adjust the cream quantity for a richer or lighter sauce.
- Add cooked chicken or vegetables for a heartier dish.
