- For Lemon Butter Sauce:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cold butter and cut in with a pastry cutter or fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in shredded cheddar, crab meat, and parsley.
- Gradually add milk, mixing until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While biscuits bake, prepare lemon butter sauce: melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, stir in lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper. Keep warm.
- Serve biscuits warm, drizzled with lemon butter sauce.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh crab with lump crab meat for premium flavor.
- Best enjoyed warm with extra lemon butter on the side.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the dough.
