Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, heat maple syrup and butter until melted and combined. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk egg and then add the maple mixture, stirring well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are chewy. Let cool on wire racks.
- While cookies cool, melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip the cooled cookies into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then place on a parchment-lined tray to set.
Notes
- You can refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate sets for a festive touch.
