  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Hot pepper jelly for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, cheddar cheese, egg yolk, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Use your thumb to create an indentation in each ball.
