- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
- Spread sliced potatoes evenly in the prepared dish.
- Top with cooked ground beef mixture, spreading evenly. <li id="instruction-step-6" Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or some sliced bell peppers to the beef mixture.
